FAQ

What is a Perky Peanut?

While plenty of people love their unique flavor and texture, most don't realize how unique the Perky Peanut really is. These peanuts are made to imitate the soft, smooth texture of old fashioned steamed peanuts, which were very popular int he mid- to late-1900s, but are nearly impossible to find today. We took a forgotten classic and made it even better!

What is a Blistered Peanut?

Our Blistered Peanuts are made using a proprietary process where the peanuts are soaked in hot water, allowing small amounts of water under the peanut’s skin. When the peanuts are roasted, the water evaporates, causing small bubbles to form that we call “blisters.” These blisters produce peanuts with a crunchier texture than our Perky variety, resulting in a true fan favorite!

Where are your products made?

All of our products are manufactured in the U.S.A. Montandon (pronounced mon-TAN-dun), a small town in central Pennsylvania. It has served as the home for our business since 1959. Our strong Pennsylvania Dutch roots have served as a major influence in the creation of many of our products, driving our focus on quality and innovation in the snack world.

Do you offer fundraising opportunities?

Here at Pardoe’s Perky Peanuts, we love supporting local organizations! Throughout the years, we have donated thousands of dollars’ worth of snacks to schools, sports teams, and other non-profit affiliations. Call our office to find out how we can help with your next fundraising project.

Can I take a tour of your factory?

Unfortunately due to safety regulations, we cannot offer tours of our factory. If you want to take a behind the scenes look, check out our Wholesale & Private Label page where you can find a video tour of our entire facility!

Do you have private-label opportunities?

Pardoe’s Perky Peanuts has produced private-label snacks for many years. Some of our larger grocery retailers prefer private-label lines for their premium nuts. We produce the same fine quality snacks, then bag them in the retailer’s packaging. Call our office to inquire further about private-labeling.
